Went do to get the car aligned today at my favorite Firestone dealer and the tech says the instructions call for a special inclinometer device. I'm thinking rake (inclination)? I lowered the car and have cups in the front but not the rear so I know that the inclination will be off and willing to accept. Thought anyone?

You will be fine not doing it. It helps adjust the rear caster and unless you have been in an accident it should be fine after the alignment. There would be a cornering issue or skating in the rear if this was off.

What they are looking for is a device that hooks up to the knuckles and ties into the DRB3 scan tool.It reads caster on the front and rear wheels. It gives a much better reading than a alignment rack will.If the tech does not know what they are doing they can get the rear caster off by turning the adjusting cams it different directions while setting rear camber.
