Battery Saver Feature

Has anyone used the battery saver feature? The manual says to cycle from off to acc 4 times and then after the 4th time, to push up on the lock switch. I have tried this a few times with no success. Any advice? Its a 2003.

It works, you must be doing something wrong. I would do it again, the horn should beep after you hit the lock up or down i can't remember. I think it stays in that mode for 90 days or until your cycle the key. I put mine in this mode and hook up a battery tender and never had a problem yet. Like i said re-read the manual and try it again.

Check out this battery charger from NAPA. I bolted it next to the windshield cowl under the drivers side of the hood and attached it to the fuse box.

Be sure you leave the key in the ignition until after you push up on the lock switch. Sometimes it's habit to begin to pull the key out.
