This summer I bought a FE GTS in the U.S.A. :D

I have to thank Dwight - the previous owner - for taking care for the baby in the past. And, I have to say THANK YOU JOHN!!!

He checked out the "baby" for me and he was the middle man for the complete transaction - Viper friends rock!

Unfortunately, during transport, the passanger side has been damaged and I needed two new rims and a repaint of the side sill. Those transport people do NOT care about our precious cars!

Some more scratches around the car but nothing compared to the damage on the right side.

We (club members) brought over 4 Viper this summer and 3 have been damaged during transport - the worst thing is that the transport insurance does not want to pay...even the transport agency is NOT helpful at all.

I drove the FE GTS home this past Tuesday and brought my RT/10 to the dealership for a new windshield and service. Both cars are 2002's. Two of the last year (GEN-II).

The trip to drop the RT/10 off and pick up the FE GTS was +500 miles (roundtrip) and I recognized that the StarTech suspension in my RT/10 feels so much better than the stock suspension of the GTS (had the Eibachs removed, any takers?)! Next year, after hibernation, is the time to get a new & better suspension for the GTS also.

Wow!!! What a trip to see my baby in Germany. Glad you like it Markus. I'm so sorry about the damage caused during shipping. This site makes the world so small. I hope it treats you as well as it did me! Thanks for the pictures. Happy motoring.

Dwight

Thanks, guys! Hey, Dwight, did not know that you are on the board here!

Took some pictures today. I enjoy the late fall weather here a lot - no fog in the mountains. Lower lands have thick fog and brrrrr!

In the first picture you can see the fog rolling over the mountain and disappearing!

Holy Veinershnitsle!:D Not sure what looks better, the car or the landscape!

Must be quite a sight to locals to see REAL cars for a change.;)

Congrats on the purchase! Nothing better than two Vipers of the same year, one of each model.:2tu: Sorry to hear of the damage though.:(

Robert

P.S. Lucky guys with the Autobahn over there.....:headbang:

Car looks great. Too bad I never got a chance to see it in person. Good thing Dwight didn't keep it too long or it might end up at VIR again:D

Well....today was another very SUNNY day here. Next Wednesday/Thursday temperatures will drop below freezing and we will get the first SNOW for this winter!

So we made a road trip and met the evil "twin"!

Not bad - the spelling...:D

SPÄTZLE

Traditionelly, the Wiener Schnitzel comes with French Fries (Pommes Frites) or fried potatos (Bratkartoffel)!

Never with Spätzle!
