This summer I bought a FE GTS in the U.S.A.
I have to thank Dwight - the previous owner - for taking care for the baby in the past. And, I have to say THANK YOU JOHN!!!
He checked out the "baby" for me and he was the middle man for the complete transaction - Viper friends rock!
Unfortunately, during transport, the passanger side has been damaged and I needed two new rims and a repaint of the side sill. Those transport people do NOT care about our precious cars!
Some more scratches around the car but nothing compared to the damage on the right side.
We (club members) brought over 4 Viper this summer and 3 have been damaged during transport - the worst thing is that the transport insurance does not want to pay...even the transport agency is NOT helpful at all.
I drove the FE GTS home this past Tuesday and brought my RT/10 to the dealership for a new windshield and service. Both cars are 2002's. Two of the last year (GEN-II).
The trip to drop the RT/10 off and pick up the FE GTS was +500 miles (roundtrip) and I recognized that the StarTech suspension in my RT/10 feels so much better than the stock suspension of the GTS (had the Eibachs removed, any takers?)! Next year, after hibernation, is the time to get a new & better suspension for the GTS also.
