If it's the same as a Gen I/II, on the driver's side door tag there's a number marked MDH. First two digits are the month, then day, then hour the car was completed. Mine says 043015: April thirtieth, at three pm.

Vman is correct, MDH code tells the story.

Then why does my 09 door tag say MDH 091509 but the "date of manuf." on the same tag says 1108 ??

That's a good question, and I have no idea why the dates would be so far apart. :dunno:
If I had to take a shot in the dark, I'd say MDH=start of build, "Date of Manuf."=final inspection/when the label was printed. That's a total guess and not based on any facts at all. Maybe Jon B. can answer that question.

Best way to know the date of manufacture is to be there.http://gallery.viperclub.org/data/500/medium/ssgm31.jpg

That actually seems about right for start ( D status) which means it's sequenced, which probably means the date is assigned. And you have an Aero Car which probably sat in J status for 3-4 weeks so the time frame seems right to me. My ACR was in J for over two months.
