Not sure, but sometimes I get the sensation the clutch is slipping during spirited driving.
5k miles on the SRT/10. 3k of them driven by Casey Mears.
Probably doing whole shots for his neighbors:)

best way to tell is when you bring it to redline and shift hard into the next gear, you will feel if it is slipping. you will see the revs go very fast and the car not move if you are slipping. hope this helps.

I always try to use a higher gear with the engine near the torque peak. Easy to see if the rpms rise unusually.

I sense a slipping sensation but, when I’m getting on it I'm not looking at the tach I’m looking at the road. I tried power braking, and the tires wouldn't brake loose. Not sure if I was holding the brake to hard or what.

I feel the same sensation at times - I get it most in first gear. I think it is combination of the weight transfer and the tires slipping a bit. As mentioned, i think you would feel slippage the most in the lower gears 4, 5,and 6 under hard exceleration since it is much harder for the engine to turn one revolution compared with the higher gears 1, 2, and 3.

Yes, I feel it in 1st & 2nd. Never 3rd 4th or 5th.

Put it in fourth about 3000 rpm and hit the brakes lightly while you hit the gas and watch the rev counter. If the revs goes up without increasing speed you have a badly worn disk.

You can also do that exercise in 3rd at a lower speed. 3 to 4000 rpm in 3rd, brake slightly and add gas. Watch the tach. The problem should be very obvious.

Another way I have used is to put the emergency brake on and put the car in first and or second gear. Try to take off. The car should stall right away. If it is slipping then you will see it on the tach.
