Giving the car to Chuck to install, but thanks for the advice!

Also, here are a couple of shots of the muffler delete:

Thanks! Chuck's work is always first rate!:2tu:

Wanted to try muffler delete with small bullet resonators, to see if I liked it...has a nice deep tone. Also, since I was always planning to add hi-flow cats, thought it might provide just enough "muffling" to keep it from being too loud. Without headers and sticking to the 2 1/2 pipe diameter, shouldn't be "overly" loud. Of course, too loud is in the "ear" of the listener/driver.:eater:

Besides, for me (being conservative) I like to do things in stages. I can always switch out the muffler delete for a different catback system...Corsa seems to be pretty popular.

Found this on YouTube, comparing '99 GTS before/after some exhaust work:

Before:Stock Headers, Stock Cats, Corsa Cat-Back:

After:Balenger Headers, Hi-Flow Cats, Corsa Cat-Back:

Not sure who's car this is, but it sounds nice!

One of my favorite Viper sound clips. And I did manage to locate another in his garage and then a closeup of all the carbon fiber added...and its lots!

At Sean's shop:

In his garage:

Look at all his carbon fiber:

Finished coming out of his garage: (different wheels, but pretty sure same car):

This is the last sound clip for the '93 RT/10 Roe SC...LOUD exhaust...with a great idle. Changed his wheels from the black to later Gen II:

4" exhaust from headers into 5" tips, I use turbos to keep it quiet. Will get a video of it up soon.

While I do think the Sterlings sound great, and wish my boat sounded a bit like that, I agree with Fatboy...let's try to keep it to Vipers. I'm never going to put a Sterling motor in my RT, last I looked the RT didn't float (or even go in the rain), so I'd prefer to hear the de-cat, de-cat back sound clip! :D

Anyone have a sound clip of Roe hi-flows with cat-back or muffler delete and no headers? Prefer rear exit as opposed to side pipes if possible.

Thanks much!:2tu:

my 1st video on the forum :kazoo:

roe high flows, stock resonators, muffler delete w/ magnaflow x-pipe (as mentioned in another thread, i'd use the cherry bomb x-pipe next time)

not refined, but i like it :drive:

My 99 GTS sounds pretty good with OEM header , cat , resonator and free flow s/s Magnaflow mufflers. Would love to hear it with cat delete or high flow cat . Until spring when I'll replace the OEM cat with a high flow one ,I'll have to wait for a sound clip of my own :smirk:

Plum, that's what I thought...I like CF but not everywhere you look, as it kind of takes away the uniqueness! Not to mention the amount of money spent for all that CF when could be invested in other performance mods!:D

By the way, did you go to the OCC event two years ago? I sort of remember someone commenting on how great (loud) your car was! Was that you?

Reason I'm asking to hear other Gen II's with hi-flows and no headers, is I already have my hi-flows from Sean but won't be putting them in til spring...I'm a bit antsy, so want to hear what it will sound like.:eater:

The first video is of the car at idle. Details are... 99 GTS, Random Tech Cats, Random Tech exhaust, stock manifolds, resinator delete, roller rockers.

The next is an interior sound video of a second gear 30 to 60 MPH acceleration with the windows up so you can get an idea of interior sound level with the Random Tech exhaust.

I see a red X shows up, but click it anyway, the link works for me.

Camfab, sounds awesome...great "lumpy" idle!

So, (high level), what mods have you done...cam (obvious) but which one, heads, what else!

Thanks for posting.:2tu:
