Hello Rich here from NJ. Bought my Viper in August 2006. Got rid of my 06 Zo6 plague with issues. Now 20 years later still lovin my Viper. Has 26000 miles and runs good except for the surging under 2000 rpm. When I got the car first week I removed the entire exhaust header back, no cats, mufflers cross over pipes just straight from the header to each side. then installed a 354 rear and a 170 thermostat. I had issues with the top pressure p/s hose to pump fitting. First time I bought an original end with the o ring and cut the old one off lasted a bit then pulled out and made a mess. So I bought new lines from Havik Performance. Seemed to be allright you screw the adapter to the pump and fan module it has a o ring and looks like plastic or maybe alum. after a few months driving the power steering went away and the car ran hotter. This happened at 60 miles an hour and the oil went everywhere. Seems the adapter loosened in the fan module. I think because the hose can move a bit and loosen itself. Try to put it back with new oring but maybe use lock tite or ??? any ideas or is there a better hose made.

I went through a power steering hose replacement phase, fixing it a couple of times on my Gen3. But the real problem turned out to be the relief valve in the pump being stuck.

I went with a combo setup of new and old pieces fused together. I originally bought a set of JTSVP fittings/hoses for my setup, but I never liked the way they fit. The kit had lines for multiple hoses (pump to fan and fan to rack), but I only wanted to replace the pump to fan one as it was the only one causing issues. I think they sent me a kit for the SRT-10 truck though as they just didn't seem to route in a way that made sense. In the end I actually took the factory line to a hydraulic shop and had them braze on an AN style fitting that mated with the adapter that came in the kit. That kept my original hose routing that was way nicer, but gave me a more secure connection at the pump. I've been happy with it.
