Road&Track - C6 Corvette with 450 bhp???

In the new R&T page 53 in "What's NEWS":Top General Motors officials boast that CHEVROLET plans to go Viper-hunting with its next-generation Corverre ZO6.The new version will be wider then the base C6 Corvette and will boast upward of 450 bhp.
If this is true, it's open season on both sides.

Wheelbase is supposed to be smaller, headlamps will be exposed. If they crank it up that high the Z06 will have to exceed that.

Found this quote it's encouraging but I don't know who this guy is. Bring on your 450+ HP corvettes, and lets see the Viper go to 550+ HP
