I just changed my battery about 2 months ago and the car fired right up. The past month though I have noticed it takes about a full second to start up the car. There is no ticking or anything just seems to take longer to "turn over." Is that indicative of a starter going bad? Its a 2000 ACR with 20K miles.

Fuel pump might be bleeding down(common on the Gen I cars). Try going to the on position several times before trying to turn it over and see if it starts quicker.

If the engine is just not turning over as soon as you turn the key... Possible bad starter but more likely corroded connections etc. If the engine turns but takes longer to start see above... ^
