Anyone ever just take out the thermostat? My snake runs hot, and here in Texas you almost never need heat. What are the pros and cons of just taking it out?

The themostate helps collect heat from your engine. From what I understand, it slows the water down so the heat can transfer to it and plus it helps regulate the engine temp.

I was going to swap in a lower temp thermostat, But it looks like a pain having to pull the intake and injectors, and needing a new seal/gasket.

I added a Fluidine radiator and it runs relatively cool even in stopped traffic on a hot day.
