You're looking at the very first "smash my viper" video ever - the crash was staged in an attempt to make the filmer known. Watch the events carefully with a skeptical mind, you'll start seeing poor editing from the start.

The 'real' version of the car going over the edge occured in Australia from what I understand. The version of this that I saw didn't have all the in-car footage at the beginning, just the road-side footage of the two cars rounding the corner and the Viper going off. You could hear a lady screaming next to the camera operator. It was a legit crash, but the other fluff in this video was added by someone else. (That's how I understand it anyway.)

EDIT: Here's another 'version' of the film. Notice how in this version, it's "200 feet" down the cliff instead of the 100 feet quoted in the OP's link.
