Wait!! The garden section will have hose hookups for showers and car washes. They sell Mobil 1 and have a maintenance dept for those who need to work on their cars, install new tires, etc. Thats it, the official hotel of VOI 12...WAL-MART! Make your reservations now!

:rolaugh:
:rolaugh::rolaugh:

Now your thinking! And they also have a bedding dept as well as clothes for people if their luggage doesn't show on time!

Those of you that are high rollers are even allowed to set up your tent trailer in the parking lot for free! This VOI is gonna rock!:nana:

McD's can be for breakfast, but I'll be organizing the big dinner gala at *******. Just waiting on Marv and Chris to give me the go ahead on that one. Not sure why they seem to be taking their time on giving me the green light....

:D
Hey, I'm just a flunky these days, so don't look to me for these life-or-(dare I say it? Nah)-death decisions...

Anybody know that REAL host hotel for the event? Don't want to end up at the RV park after my drive to get there.

3 hotels in downtown Charlotte have 400 rooms or more. The Hilton, Marriott, and the Westin. They look good !!! For me as long as I can put my head on a pillow, it's all good. MMM...also, need a nice warm shower.....a/c for those warm southern nights...a nice comfy couch to have a coffee and watch my morning news, sports., other than that it's all good !!!

That won't likely be announced for another week or so once the presidents meeting and all is done with. Even at that it might be a bit longer. There is a lot to plan.

As for Charlotte, once did a trade show in downtown. Once 6:15 hits, it is empty!! The roads were so empty you could walk down them!! Never had seen anything like it before! :omg:

Ahem. Coolant bottle and tire. Cough. Hack. Cough.

Sorry. Have this off tickle in my throat..Just thinking of past memories. .:rolaugh:

Just a 3 hr delay in the middle of Nowhere, KY on a Sunday afternoon. You forgot bent wheel too (fixed it when I got home :D), Nothing compared to building a fuel tank in the back of a pick up truck bed....uh, 7 hr delay???

All you guys with your delays. My only issue going to SLC was this bum i picked up on the way and couldn't get rid of him untill I got to Las Vegas. I think I win.

This is great news, only about an hour half drive from Anderson.

Not sure on the politics of a VOI,so is everyone that owns a Viper welcome OR is it just for the VCA members??

Just curious, cause I see a lot of "Enthusiast" such as myself say they are going.

I would become a member of the VCA but there are never any events planned for this area besides what the TN chapter does in June with Gattey, which I have attended. One event a year does not justify me paying the $150 dollars a year membership.Unless there are other benefits that I am not seeing besides no events planned in this area besides this one now.

Thanks for any info on this in advance.

A lot of benefits the VCA offers it's members. If you are planning on going to VOI 12, your VCA membership will save you more than it cost off the registration fee alone.

Yes sir I am planning on going since it is for Viper owners. And I guess I will wait to see how much the rooms are discounted being a VCA member and weigh out my options.Cause after this event this area will go back to sleep.

Thanks for your time and info.........

If I'm not mistaken you have to be a VCA member to attend VOI. VOI 10 was the last one that was open to owners and VCA members if my memory serves me correctly. No time like the present to join. :)

Membership is actually $115. Venom option is $150. Other options are discounted merch from vendors (if needed), 6 Viper Magazines/year (if interested). As stated before, VOI is Viper "Owners" Invitational, not restricted to VCA members only, although VCA members do receive reduced price.

Good thing this is a free site. Not like the paying members pay to keep it running.....

No useful or valuable info either.....:smirk:

The time wasted trying to figure out the best way to save (2 tanks of gas....?) is worth more than membership fee...

And you drive an SS...? :omg:

Was it your Viper or tow vehicle that almost caught fire when things got a little warm near the gas tank? I can't remember

:D

Smart butt. :D

Yes, there may have been a small incident along those lines. ;)

Just a 3 hr delay in the middle of Nowhere, KY on a Sunday afternoon. You forgot bent wheel too (fixed it when I got home :D),

Oh yes. The wheel. Right! :rolaugh:

Nothing compared to building a fuel tank in the back of a pick up truck bed....uh, 7 hr delay???

OK, so I had a small issue.... As my issue apparently was a tad bit worse than yours (based on time to complete repairs :D) it does give me full right to rib anyone and everyone else on any issues they encountered!

:rolaugh:

You kicked him out on that sharp left in Kansas! :lmao: Nice try! You would be called a Saint if you made it all the way to Vegas! :rolaugh:

I thought Chad rode out there with ......uh, nevermind :D

Yeah, Chad rode the rest of the way (after the sharp turn) with many people. I hear he was panicking at every rest area we came to as he was consistently being kicked out from further riding with whoever he was then with and he was running low on cars to finish the trip in!

Not to mention access to parts of this site that are directly linked with Chrysler's engineering staff that is way beyond helpful! If you have ever tried to diagnose an issue and spent more than $150 on a part that did not solve the issue, or spent that much on labor trying to diagnose an issue (if you take your vehicle to a dealer); then the membership would have paid off right there!

Yeah it is a good thing that let you be a small part of this forum for free to see if it is for you. It's a GREAT place for info and if your area is active it's GREAT place to come and see what's happening in your area as far as M&G's and rides.Unfortunately this area has no activity,so not much to benefit from as a car club stand point.

And I don't know about you but time researching anything is time well spent, what's two tanks of gas anyhow.

Not sure what you mean by driving a SS,sounds like to me you need to research this site with all of it's valuable info and you will learn that they did not make a SS Viper.

(Nothing personal, just some things I'll never understand...)

I believe he is referring to your screen name. There is an aftermarket body kit for the GEN III & IV cars and it's called Street Serpent. See pic below...

We spent time in that state once. It was a life time for 17 Months in 68 & 69.
I promised the wife I would never drag her back there again.
Humidity you could cut with a knife, and bugs big enough to carry off my army boots.
Rain every afternoon at 2 followed by 100% humidity for 4 hours.
It's a 2858 mile trip from Seattle or lots of 600 mile days both ways.
I'll work on a route plan fairly soon.
