Searching For An Old Video Clip

I'm looking for an old video clip from several years ago that was on this forum. Best way I can describe it, the driver was a masked avenger, and the car was an SRT. I am going to make some video clips, and I remember this clip, and really liked the clever camera angles used. Hope everyone is...

    Screw in my Run Flat

Much has been said about the runflat. One more thing I would like to add to the list. They are very dificult to remove from the rim. The sidwalls are so rigid, it's like tying to remove and inflated tire. Goodyear damaged my rim trying to remove the tire, and then denied doing it.

    Clutch replacement----- anyone know

Labor is about 2 to 3 hours max. If you know a good transmission shop, that is reputable. They will do it for around $200.00 and it truly is cut and dry. I have had this done at least 20 times, experimenting with different clutches. I allways have the pressure plate and flywheel balanced, as...

    header gaskets?

I don't think so, since the heads are different. The SRT uses a multi layer gasket. Cost is approx. $110.00 per pair if memory serves me. They are very good sealing gakets.

    Viper crash....

Lane changing or accellerating under hard load when the road is not 100 straight will take you out. This is the no. 1 cause of accidents in these cars. If the road has the slightest bend to it, and the car has the power, you will loose it, oh, and as Kaya mentioned, tires. We have a 1000 HP SRT...

    Seat Lowering

Doe's the 2 inch lowering kit, not allow the back of the seat to adjust? I know you can't move it forward. I wouldn't mind the 2 inch kit, if the back of the seat could be adjusted to where I want it. ps, high everyone, been real busy lately

Larry you have to take a 30 day training course I think. Where did all these guys learn this? I almost had it down pat, and forgot it all the next day. I gave up.

Adding a sub and need a wiring diagram

Franko, go to a an 8" Given the limited size enclosur you must use, an 8 will most likely tune out better. Tighter, cleaner bass, easier to drive, and the shape of the footwell will contribute greatly to the bass. Consider a front port in the box. I would try 80hz and down to the sub. Don't go...

Adding a sub and need a wiring diagram

Your gonna have to do some fancy work to operate a sub in the trunk. I'm not sure it can be done, and if your planning on using the Bazzoka setup, they have a deficit in bass range. They are unique in there design, but I don't like them at all. The sub in the car also has a deficit, but...

How much weight? How much money?

Vic, I can't cross the line in third. I have to shift about 150 feet from the line, and this kills my time. I could probably coast and do better. The time to shift, and fourth gear has no power. My car is 175lbs lighter than stock, and has a handfull of mods, and this allows the car to redline...

    Better SRT weight saving ideas:

Eagles, your getting down to oz's and I like that. This means your serious. Don't forget the MGW shifter, and light weight bezel, knock one full pound off the car, and you should save more than two lbs. on the tires. Stoptech rotors will save more than any on the market, about 8 per wheel. The...

How much weight? How much money?

If memory serves me, the T-56 in the Vettes have a different gear ratio. This would change everything. As far as the 3.55's being faster, it is, only if the traction is improved, (tires, road surface) and the driving skills would have to be much better, as the 3.55's run out of breath much...

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF USING ACETONE INSTEAD OF OCTANE BOOSTER

Our cars are set up for 91-93 octane. If your in a state that sells 93 octane, I see no reason to run this. It can actually cause you to loose power. Engines with high perf. mods, may benifit from it, but why not give it a try. You should run your car at the track or on a dyno, and really come...

How much weight? How much money?

The guy that doe's the aluminum rotors has never got back with me. He even has a set of my oem rotors. The C/F driveshaft ends up weighing the same as an aluminum, but is good for 1500 HP They really don't like making the C/F material in smaller diameter on thin applications. On longer...

How much weight? How much money?

They only come in 18 for the Viper. I chose all 18X11's for my car, and went with 305/45/18 Nitto's for the rear, and a 10mm wider than oem for the front.

How much weight? How much money?

Actually Magnesium is very good in a cast form, and as Steve mentioned the viper's fire wall is made from Mag, as a matter of fact, it's the largest casting of mag ever used in an auto. As for the fire hazard, it's only vulnerable when in shaving or granulations, and powderd is the most...

How much weight? How much money?

How'd I miss this one. Much good info has been said in this post. The titanium frame is out of the question. The market on this metal is at a record high at the moment. The frame cost would be way out of sight. Don't think an aluminum frame is a bad idea. GM is not going to screw up on...

    Automatic Tranny...

Re: Automatic Tranny...or an SMG paddle shift option Choosing the right auto is no easy chore. I can tell you that most are not the correct choice, if you knew the different factors on some setups. It's a very simple upgrade in a sense. Which trans. you choose, will depend on what you are doing...

    Drivetrain Slop

Will the reason behind this so called drive-line slop, is a combination of several factors. You are sitting very close to the drive train, the trans, diff, and u-joints in this car are huge compared to your typical family car, and this enhances the feal and noise. If the car did not have the...

I have a Delima....06 SRTC or Ford GT

The GT is a bit pricy, compared to the Viper, considering they are both very expensive cars to build. Ford has actually decided to make a proffit on this car. The problems I have with the GT, are weight, and price. Why didn't they lighten up this car. For the price they are charging, I...
