1996 Viper :drive:
Engine light came on used my code reader and it gave me a P-1496 and P-1498 code
Based on what I could find on the net they are:
P1496 5 Volt Supply Output Too Low
P1498 High speed Rad Fan Ground CTRL Rly Circuit
Anyone had these codes, if so what was wrong, just a fan...
I gave up on trying to keep them shined up. They are magnesium and corrode with air contact. You can sand all you want but they will return to a tarnished state.
If someone were to step up and produce a $800 header for the Viper (never happen)the lot of you guys would expect it to look and perform like the quality $1800 and up stuff that is already out there.
You can't make them without expecting a return on your work in the form of profit and at $800...
Progerssive was ALWAYS a sub-Standard Insurer when I wrote insurance. They always squirmed out of paying claims back then. I would not trust them at all.

They have been dried up for sometime. I got one of JonB's about a year and a half ago when he only had three left.
Nobody had them back then but Jon so I don't think you'll find a factory spoiler anywhere, unless it's from a wrecked Viper.
