I used to use the BlinderLaser jammer here in AZ - it worked like a charm! I even had a cop friend bring out a laser gun so we could test it. I sold that car though, and never put a set on the snake. I got mine at blinder.net, and I think they are still around.
Re: Weigh In: What you think About This Snakeskin Green Coupe with Matching Asanti Wh
They look good to me - but only because there is some chrome in there too. If they were 100% green wheels it would be worse. I wouldn't put them on my car (even if I had a SSG), but I don't dislike them, and...
Mobil 1 or ??
Hmmm... Still waiting for some of the oil experts to comment about the ZDDP issues in my link above. In the link is a second link to Valvoline technical service bulletin of June 2008. There seems to be evidence that Mobil 1 has some superior alternatives.
Looking for...
I am using Mobil 1 15w-50. But i live in the extreme heat. I plan to go back to 0W-40 in the "colder" months. Debating whether I should switch to Redline or Valvoline VR1 after reading this link. Food for thought - any comments from the oil experts here?
Zddp Oil Issues
JonB,
Great post. You ARE the man. I've purchased from you several times and had nothing but A++++ experiences! You are an asset to the Vipering community!
I have an Alpine head unit in my 2006, direct wired to an 80gb iPod in my Glove box with nearly my entire music collection. I love it. Of course, I added subs, amps, and new speakers all around too...
I like the look of many iForged, but have had 2 sets with quality issues and POOR customer service from Vince. Feel free to read about it at classicsupra.com
Here's the idiotic response I got from a local Dodge dealer. They insisted to me that 10W-30 was the correct oil for my 2006 Viper, so that's what they put in. They did not believe me when I reminded them that both the cap and the manual say 0W-40.
I emailed them photos of my oil filler cap...
Is one filter superior to the other? In other words, should I purchase the 5038041AA or the 05037836AA for my '06?
How do I order them through you?
Thanks!!
Not quite what you are looking for with my reply, but I'll throw it at you anyway. I have used Ultrashield - which is now protective film solutions - on 2 vipers and 2 SUVs. Both Ryan and Robbie have worked on my vehicles. Great experience on all of them. I had my Lexus done by the...
Proper oil weight
I looked at my invoices from both Earnhardt and Bill Luke Dodge, and both dealers put 10w-30 in my car. When I have changed my own oil, I use 0w-40.
Given the AZ heat, I am wondering whether the 15w-50 suggested by the Florida Viper owner may be even more appropriate...
This is a very helpful thread. Thanks to all of you.
I had a dealership change my oil last week because I needed warranty service on a window regulator.
I checked my invoice and they used Mobil 1 10W-30 (10 quarts at $6.90/qt). They also used oil filter part # 5281090.
I am wondering...
A warning label would be great! Something along the lines of this:
WARNING: You are driving a Viper. It is 600+ HP of fire breathing, Vette eating, demon. If you can't handle it, surrender your keys to someone with bigger cajones.
