Any of you guys in Atlanta know of a good shop to do a gear install?

Thanks,
Brent

Thanks Joseph,

I was looking for a shop that I could just take the car to and have it done. If I can't find one I'll take the diff off and take it to them. It's just finding the time to do it that's the problem.

agree with JD, I just used southern gear for my diff work.

JD, is Jon still working on VIPERs? I think there's a VIPER Tech at Marietta Dodge and I know there are some at Palmer Dodge. I do not have any experience with either of these shops as I do my own work.

Thanks guys

I talked to Palmer Dodge, they told me 3.55 would be to much for the Viper. Said it would just spin. LOL :lmao:
I stopped talking to the guy at that point. My Cobra had 3.55's and was making over 700.

Snampro how do you like the 3.73's? That might be a better option since I have 19" wheels now. I think my ratio with the 19's and stock gears is about equal to 2.84's.
It's a dog off the line.

I'm running the Michelin Pilot Sport 345/30-19 on the rear and with the stock 3.07 gears it results in an effective 2.94 ratio. With the 3.73s and the 345/30-19 tires I'm effectively 3.58 (or so) and I love it. It does not just spin, it accelerates great and does not make the car hard to drive or annoying on the freeway. excellent mod.

That guy at Palmer is an idiot, don't listen to him.

yeah, "alans performance" is the Jon guy I was talking about, he and Alan used to work together, Alan sells the stuff and Jon is the mechanic.

its worth a try, give Alan a call and I'm sure he can set something up with Jon on the install, both good guys and very helpful.

if you want to feel what 3.73's and 345/30-19's feel like before doing the mod let me know, I'm in woodstock.
