Can the corsa 2.5 be converted to a true 3"? I know the muffler is the same but the openeing is obviously smaller. I would rather see if there is a way to open it up instead of buying a new exhaust? Anyone with experience at this?

The issue I have is I just got a set of Balenger headers and I want to hook them up to my Corsa using random tech cats. If going from 2.5 to 3" makes no significant power difference especially if it's at one spot then I will just use the coupler. If having a 3" system all the way through makes more power than I need to open it up somehow or swap it out.

THANKS NADER !
Shandon , we have chatted LONG and LONGER about this, and our experience:

1) Magic Wands can "open it up" instead of buying a 3" exhaust; So could a do-it-yourself cat delete, or muffler delete.

2) As your thread states "corsa track conversion" (or other brands,) and PartsRack has a true 3" HF cat conversion to go from headers-back to tips at full 3".

-Footwell is 150f cooler;
-Sidesill is 125-130f cooler.
-All heat goes away behind seats...Cockpit is wayyy cooler
-Save 25 lbs of weight
-gain 25 HP
-Deeper, louder tone, and **** tips. IN STOCK..ready when U R

Wow a JonB reply on a Monday I am impressed:2tu: .
Sorry John it's been a while since we spoke about this. Anyway smack my memory a bit here.. I will get the Highflows from you and you speak of a true way of converting the 2.5 to 3". I thought I remmeberd you mentioning a coupling also but what you mentioned here is sounding better and more in line with what I am wanting. I will call and get the details and order.
