I have a 05 vert with approx 1000 miles and still hearing the valve noise.
My dealer told me that with the low miles I put on this car, I should change
the oil each 6 months to keep the warranty valid

You probably noticed a little more noise as the car heats up. Both of my Gen. III's will get a little louder after driving a few miles as opposed to right after initial start-up. Nonetheless, this is normal for the Gen. III.

Correct me if I am wrong, I am sure someone will, but valve train noise is normal on these cars because of the leakdown on the lifters, this was actually designed to smooth out the idle on the cars. Some of what you are hearing is injector noise as well.

I am assuming the valve noise you are all talking about is that "tick-ticking" noise just like you would hear when an old muscle car had a bad lifter (but not as bad)?

am I describing this accurately? Since I have noticed it at warmer engine temps.

I suppose Viper engines have a tendency to break down motor oil (synthetic at that) faster than any other automobile engine? Bring your owner's manual with you and make them show where it (or any place else) states to change the oil every 6 months. If they insist, run for the hills and find another dealership. THEY ARE TRYING TO SCAM YOU!!!
