This AM I received a call from Chris advising me that I had won 4th prize (nice tease)....then quickly stating "I mean the ACR"...I had totally forgot about the timelines for the raffle so in my haze of thoughs had to assimilate what he was saying....yes he surprised me and got my attention!

Well, I will be waiting for more info in the days to come about processing taxes/shipping.

First I want to thank the club (and the SForida VCA) for the superb job in making this one of the best forums of communication with respect to the Viper. Although I do not post much I read the threads frequently -sometimes in far flung places like Argentina/Brazil on business travel. This is a professionally run club and credit goes to the VCA senior leadship team, members, and sponsors.

A special tribute to the Plant employees who assembled this car. When I looked at the picture with those associated with putting this car together, I could not help but be reminded of the uncertainly this industry faces. I wish them the best in the future. I have 3 SRTs in my stable. My son has a Caliber SRT4, the White Mamba which sleeps all day with 2,500 miles, and most recently an SRT8 Jeep fresh out of the package. My wife unfortunately is into German cars with the star.

My impressions about the Car: A few months ago I toyed whether to replace the Mamba with an ACR....it had dynoed at 650hp (rearwheels) at a SFlorida VCA dyno day - so I had mixed feelings; but Mark at Woodhouse tells me that with headers,Corsa, and a Mopar PCM I can exceed that in the ACR. He has me convinced!! I will sell the Mamba....

I will have more info once I am in the drivers seat....but for now I believe a set of Eurotecks will be an excellent backdrop against the sidewinders - Neal how about a donation so I do not have to pull them from the Mamba?????

Next year the drawing should be live on the site. And as much money as the vca made on the raffle, the car should be delivered free of any charges!

Congrats Art. I think you should leave the rotors on the ACR alone. They are already upgraded from the stock non ACR '08.

Hi again Art.

1. The car you won is a one of one car. It will probably have considerable value to a collector going forward in time. This will particularly be the case if the Viper Enterprise is not acquired and, even if it is ascquired, your car may represent the pinnacle of the DODGE Viper while the Viper was still a Dodge product. If I was you, I would not mod the car at all at this time. Break it in. Make sure there is nothing wrong with it. In this bankruptcy environment and with all the dealer closures it is only a matter of time before the hammer falls on strict warranty interpretation in order for the New Chrysler to be more profitable. I am not suggesting that you not drive it. Just that you respect the fact that it is a very special car and should be preserved, as is, if possible.

2. Keep your supercharged Mamba for awhile. A Gen IV with the controller and the headers does not make 750 HP. It makes between 660 and 675 HP. Also, the ACR is a very different experience from a convertible. You really need to be careful on the street with the ACR spec tires and you need to be super careful with the front splitter. Until the ACR spec tires warm up, they can be slippery on the street. In the rain, they are not nearly as safe as PS2s.

3. Enjoy the new beast.

Art, Dodge made this car to be driven. Anyone who says to make this car a garage queen, well, I just cannot disagree anymore...Either sell it if you want cash, or drive the **** out of it!:2tu::headbang:
