Paying Cash, Financing, or Can't Afford It
I typically pay cash but it's tough to do that these days. I can take a loan a 1.9%-3.9% and I typically do much better than that in the market. Point is I'd consider doing a loan if market continues to significantly outperform the interest on a loan...- Tpup

Hello, I picked up several items from Olivier Baretta during the 2000 season one of which is this hat. It was signed by him and several others. Does anyone recognize the signatures? He included it in the box when he sent me the helmet he wore when he won Daytona but it's the "Chrysler" hat...- Tpup

NEW VIPER COUPE
I'm very dissipointed and have no interest in buying one. I sold my Porsche when I saw the "old" GTS; I thought it was the best looking car made. 911 TT or SRT-10? Anyone drive both?
My kids rode in the back of my 996 and Turbo until they were 13 or so. They were not comfortable past 9 or 10, but loved to ride back there vs. taking the truck:) Good luck. Roy- Tpup

MIchelin Pilot Sports on the track (road course)
Panorama (Porsche Club Mag) did a back to back test on the same car, same track, same driver, etc. Cups were 2 seconds per lap faster than Kumhos and had better wear... Roy- Tpup

Any Nor.Cal 4 post lifts I could use for Measurements?
I have a www.backyardbuddy.com, the demensions are on their website under products and then the lift. I guess you need one of the high-lift models. You should also check the lock heights... According to the MB website, your ML320 is 72" tall (71.7 including the rack). According to the 96...- Tpup

SRT vs. GT-2
SRT would win based on published lap times at Road Atlanta. One of Porsche's factory drivers (Hurley Haywood or David Murry, I don't remember which) ran a TT at RA in the 1:39s. They ran a GT2 on the same day, same conditions, at a 1:38. I was interested in picking up a GT2, actually had one...- Tpup

If you don't have one, you NEED a lift!
Lift I have a www.backyardbuddy.com. It works well. As for the garage opener questions, mine is a coil spring, the opener is mounted almost flush to the roof. Works great. Roy- Tpup

Come on Ryan, tell them about the little 4 banger Seriouslly, I walked over to look a the GT2 and two guys were beating on the front of the car with a hammer and chisel!!! I don't know what they were beating on but it was in the battery area under the front hood. I was very surprised how slow...- Tpup

Which CAR LIFT is best?
I just bought a backyardbuddy (www.backyardbuddy.com). I bought it after resarching the lifts; personally, I prefer the locking system on the backyard product. I don't want a lift failure. They have a video on their site that points out whey they think there lift is better... It's worth a...- Tpup

Anyone else here have a 911(996) TT? Compare to Viper...
needasnake, I had a 99 GTS (miss it) and currently have a 01 TT. They are very different imo. The GTS is much more raw, like sports cars used to be. A buddy of mine coined the term "Plexus" regarding the Turbo as it is like a very, very fast Lexus. Very quiet, great climate control, stereo...- Tpup
