OK. Question 1: If a person would like a little more power, what is the normal order of performance upgrades for Vipers?

Question 2: So, say that person was me:D, and I wanted more power, but still have the car look 100% stock, but also do not want to tear into the motor, but said part can also be removed without leaving any marks. What would be the recommendation??:dunno: (Please see my sig for what I have already done)

Thanks!

Either 3.45 or 3.55 gears would be the best bang for the buck. Then Headers and a 3" Catback, bu ton your 2002, headers are not a big power adder because of the cam. I would do the Catback before the headers. It's a disease Robert :D :D :D

Nitrous if you just want big power once in a while ($1,200 installed).

If you are serious about power then the only choice is a Roe Blower. You can leave the front crossmember alone, supercharger kit goes on without internal engine parts and uninstals back to completely stock.

You can do 8psi (600rwhp) with just the kit, w/**** injection and MSD Boost a Pump. Easy to instal and looks completely stock until ypou open the hood - then it looks like a million bucks!

Mike,

Cat back done. Gears done. Power Disease, infected long before I got the Viper. :D

Ted,

I am not looking to go that extreame. Thinking more like up to 50 hp and I do not want it visible.

If my memory serves me correct, Mopar Performance once made a chip for the 2nd gens. Were they good? Is my memory failing me? Any thoughts?

Thanks!

What you're thinkg about is the Mopar PCM, which was good for taking care of CEL and adding a little power IF you had already installed the Mopar 1.7 RR/headers/exhaust. Do gears first an get a good set of tires with some grip. If you want headers, I have some

Robert, you sound like me about 6-7 years ago. I started small with just headers and exhaust. Then the fever got out of control and you know where I am today.:D

I would say really think about where you want to end up and map out a plan. I kept thinking I'll be happy with 600hp, 700hp, 800hp. It's a drug and it's addicting at least for me it is. You get a little and you want more. If you can plan it out from the beginning it would save you a lot of time, effort and money instead of doing it piece meal and upgrading constantly. I know if I was starting all over again that's what I would do.

First, why the huge concern with the stock appearance? Are you trying to be super tricky... You already added appearance mods which unless you have a GTS-R, give a mod'd appearance already.

Just slap the whole thing with power... Cam, Lifters, Supercharger/TT, and Flash program it!

I did the follwing in order:

- K&N Filters/Smooth Tubes
- AB's Wires (not really a performance thing but they rock)
- Belanger Headers/Catback/RT Hi-Flo Cats (after trying a few systems)
- Vec3
- T&D Roller Rockers

Prior to the T&Ds, I dyno'd at 480rwhp, 525rwtq and ran rich. I recently installed T&D's and I feel a difference in SOTP. Car feels like it's making more power with the T&Ds. I'm due for a dyno run/tune soon so I'll have final numbers in a few weeks.

If I were to do it over again, I would immediately slap on a Roe S.C. before doing these mods. The Roe S.C. bolts on, no need to touch the internals. Then I would've proceeded with the above mods after the S.C. install. Why you may ask? You can't beat the cost/hp benefit that the Roe gives you. Immediate kick-ass power at a reasonable cost.

Well to answer your question, my backround is in 60's Mopar Muscle cars. To some of us us words like NOS (New old stock, not Nitrous!), original, original low miles, and having a vehicle looking 100% factory gets us more excited that a hot bowl of fried chicken! Yes, somewhat lame from the one side, but from the other thats just the way it is.

Having been raised with that mentality, it is a hard thing to break. As for my accessories, I know, I agree. In saying that though they were on the car when I got it!

When I look back at what I just typed, I realize my perspective is VERY warped! It would seem that I do have a bad problem!:rolaugh:

Any Doctors here with reccomendations!:lmao:

Robert

P.S. Either way, I do love HP!:D
